- Film Review: Stoker
- Director: Chan-wook Park
- Writer: Wentworth Miller
So here’s the thing…I think this movie was butchered by the director and editor. Not that I’m absolving Went. There’s more than enough blame to go ’round. Skipping ahead to the end of this review, I can save you a lot of time by saying, the film had a good foundation but it didn’t come together well. If you want to know specifics on why I’ve reached this conclusion I’d say, save your pennies, forgo Amazon and keep reading.
There will be mistakes. I’m human and the way I approach this blog is loose. It’s obvious we’re not dealing with Shakespeare here (despite one of the story titles). I have spelling and grammar hiccups from time to time. I’d like to say those are rarities, but that would be a lie. I’m not as crisp as some writers or as well-read. I guess what I lack in skill I make up with passion. When I said read at your own risk, that wasn’t humility talking. It was unflinching truth.
To those that asked what takes me so long to complete, everything?
There will not be regular updates and some stories might remain stagnant for weeks, months even, I think I mentioned that in the TV guide up top. I make a good faith effort to finish everything, but sometimes things don’t work out. I’m not in this for money or popularity (hence the disabling of comments) but if you have a request, would like to leave feedback or have a general question and/or comment, feel free to use the contact form to reach me.
